Ready to get rid of your unwanted hair?

When it comes to hair, we are not all the same. Ethnicity, heredity and hormonal changes are some of the factors that influence hair growth. The length, density and color of the hair also varies from one person to another. Whatever the selected hair removal method, it is important to pay close attention to the hair growth cycle.
We offer various techniques that will help you to get rid of your unwanted hair.
Each of the existing hair removal methods has peculiarities, advantages and disadvantages.
To help you better choose the technique that suits you, here is a quick description of the methods used in our clinic.
Laser
Laser Hair Removal
Enjoy pain-free treatments, with special cooling features that deploy cryogenic freezing, a process that instantly anesthetizes the mid-dermal layer of the skin before receiving each pulse of laser energy. What once used to be painful is now a pleasant and comfortable experience.
A laser for all skin and hair types, Lutronic Clarity II, is a dual-wavelength platform combining long-pulsed 755nm Alexandrite and 1064nm Nd:YAG laser technology. CLARITY’s advanced features enable treatment versatility and greater speed. The Alexandrite combined with the ND:Yag offer the appropriate fluencies, duration (milliseconds), spot sizes, wavelengths, thermal resting times, etc. to target the hair bulbs of any skin or hair type (ranging from porcelain skin tones with thin flaxen peach fuzz to African complexions with thick black hair) and perform various other medical aesthetic procedures.
Quicker Sessions
A high repetition rate and large treatment spot sizes offer unprecedented speed. In addition, since Clarity II does not require gel application (due to its cooling features), it is possible to treat an entire range of body areas (from head to toe) in half the time.
DERMAVISION is the only aesthetic clinic in the city Montreal and in the province of Québec that offers this new technology.

Electrolysis
Electrolysis is a hair removal process where a certified technician inserts a filament into the hair bulb and transmits an electric current to it. This causes the hair to fall from the root, letting it then be removed with forceps. Electrolysis targets the hair one by one. Thus, to treat a complete area, you will have to spend several hours in the clinic and will take more than 1 year. This technology is perfect for any errant or sparse hairs.
The treatment-related sensation is a pinching sensation when the current is administered.
The removal of the hair can cause a slight temporary swelling. If your skin is very sensitive, a gel can be applied before treatments to reduce the pain.
What are the advantages of electrolysis?
It can be practiced on all parts of the body and for all types of hair. It can be used for eyebrows, upper lip, face, abdomen, thighs, chest, legs, etc.
If your hair is blond, white or light red, you will have to proceed by electrolysis, since these hairs are not detectable during laser targeting.
What are the benefits of electrolysis hair removal?
It is effective and definitive. In addition, it is suitable for all skin types (matte and black), works on all hairs (white and blond – excluded by pulsed light and laser), and can be performed on all areas of the body and of the face.
Wax
Waxing is a temporary hair removal method that allows the removal of hair effectively for a long time, from 3 to 4 weeks depending on the region. All areas of the body can be depilated with warm or hot wax, depending on the sensitivity of the area.
The regrowth is soft and the hairs are refined over time.
This method is a nice alternative for people who want a temporary hair removal method.
The advantage of this method is time that the regrowth of hair is quite long (about 3 weeks) because the bulb is removed during hair removal.
Traditional hot wax is usually in the form of small resin beads to be melt.
Short or thin, long or thick, the molten resin traps the hair and pulls it out softly.
