Symptoms :
The skin begins to age from 30 years old: it becomes slightly flaccid. Expression wrinkles are to be observed from the forties due to a slower cell renewal causing relaxation of the epidermis. Wrinkles appear on the forehead and crow’s feet at the end of the eyes. Around fifty, there is an increase in the number of spots, folds of the mouth, double chin, sagging of the corner of the lips and the tip of the nose. On the other hand, over the years the skin becomes dehydrated, becomes dry, less supple, less elastic and finer.
Evolution :
30 years old
The dermis begins to lose its collagen and elasticity from 30 years old. The wrinkle that runs from the nose to the corner of the mouth (naso ride – genial) begins to deepen. The skin becomes slightly flaccid.
40 years old
Expression wrinkles begin to appear from midlife because of a slower cell turnover that causes sagging of the epidermis. Folds appear at the forehead. Crow’s feet appear at the end of the eyes.
50 years old
• Increased number of spots
• Increased folds of the mouth, double chin.
• Increased sagging of the corner of the mouth and the tip of the nose.
• Increased double chin.
• Digging nasolabial folds.
60 years old
The skin becomes more and more thin and flaccid. Eyelids, more and more flaccid, and sag. Spots are more and more numerous.
What to do?
• A healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables will provide antioxidants that can help limit the damaging effects of free radicals on the skin.
• Reduce tobacco and alcohol intake – alcohol and nicotine increase free radical damage that speeds up the aging process.
• Protect yourself from the sun: Sunlight is the main factor in aging skin. The prolonged sun exposure for years causes repercussions on premature cutaneous aging. More wrinkles can appear, widen and brown spots multiply. The skin becomes less flexible. On the other hand, drying and dehydration of the skin can be observed. Protecting the skin daily from UV damage by using a product with proper SPF will slow aging, and also prevent wrinkling and loss of volume.
• Wear sunglasses to protect the delicate skin around the eyes against the sun.
• Fight against stress: Stress contributes to premature aging of the skin. It affects a large number of people and usually manifests itself in irritability, anxiety and a general feeling of being unwell.
• Moisturize the skin: Hydrating properly is an effective preventative measure that can hinder the process of accelerating skin aging.
• Sleep well: Poor sleep can also contribute to premature aging of the skin. Regular sleep schedules must be adopted, including waking up at your own pace.
Anti-age care :
Hyaluronic acid, the star of moisturizers:
If you find that your skin is less plump, look for plumping actives that have been proven. Hyaluronic acid is the star in this field. This substance, naturally present in the body, and especially in the skin, has an ultra-moisturizing and filling power that allows it to make its plumpy side to the skin and to reinflate wrinkles from the inside.
DERMAVISION Tips: Sothys 3Ha Intensive Cream and Serum (Hyaluronic Acid) + 3Ha Facial Care.
Boost the production of collagen :
To improve the density of the skin, opt for treatments that boost the production of collagen. This structural protein constitutes the armature of the dermis and its quantity decreases with time, resulting in thinning and sagging skin.
DERMAVISION Tips: Intensive Collagen Hyaluronic Treatment + Youth creams (redensifying, restructuring, firmness) Sothys and Youth serums (focus wrinkles, anti-radical detoxifying, restorative, firmness focus).
Treatments :
• The endermologie solution (LPG)
Endermologie®, the 100% natural, non-invasive and non-aggressive technique of mechanical stimulation of the skin, to reactivate the mechanism of cells.
The patented LPG® treatment head exerts micro-beats on the surface of the skin to gymnasize and reactivate the fibroblast synthesis process:
• the production of a new collagen of good quality and of natural hyaluronic acid (+ 80% *) makes it possible to give volume to the dermis and thus to “go up” the floor of the wrinkle.
• the synthesis of elastin (+ 46% *) makes the skin more supple and more resistant to multiple muscle micro-contractions, often responsible for “wrinkles of expression.
During your first visit, your LPG technician will take stock of your skin according to the LPG evaluation method. With at least two treatments a week to start, she develops your endermolift program and defines the appropriate protocols: activation of radiance, firming of contours, filling of wrinkles, redensification of volumes, reduction of puffiness and dark circles, destocking double chin.
• IPL (Photorejuvenation): is a non-invasive method that treats the skin without destabilizing the surface and therefore without interrupting the client’s activities.
Intense and pulsed light (IPL) enables the simultaneous, safe and effective treatment of a wide range of facial problems such as:
• broken capillaries
• rosacea
• dark pigments
• age spots
• fine lines, thinning of the skin and loss of elasticity
The treatment is carried out in several stages. The degree of improvement is gradual and progressive and continues a few months after the last stage, as a result of the tissue repair biological processes that can take 5 to 6 months. The program usually has 5 to 7 sessions every 3 weeks, depending on the damage to treat, but some lesions will only require one session. As we can not stop the clock of time, exposure to light and their effects, customers who wish to maintain the benefits of their program will opt for a simple maintenance session at recommended intervals of 4 or 5 months.
• The Glycolic Peeling:
The peel (AHA) helps particularly in the treatment of the signs of aging of the skin. By stimulating collagen production and exfoliating it deeply, it helps tighten dilated pores, diminishes irregularities and blurs the appearance of fine lines. This treatment also acts on the elasticity of the skin, lightening and evenifying the complexion by blurring the superficial stains. As each individual and skin type reacts differently, the results may vary.
• Microdermabrasion:
Microdermabrasion is one of those cosmetic interventions that most people have heard of. Introduced in North America in 1996, microdermabrasion is a non-invasive anti-aging technique that thoroughly exfoliates the skin while giving it a boost of radiance and youth. The main treatment areas are the face, neck, neckline and hands. The technique consists of a superficial polishing of the skin, usually by means of a jet of microcrystals projected on the face, to dislodge some of the dead cells (15 to 25 microns) and impurities on the surface of the skin. This treatment has an impact on the stratum corneum of the epidermis that stimulates the production of collagen and new cells and improves blood circulation. It is used to cleanse and regenerate skin, reduce fine lines, scars and pigment spots, refine pores, eliminate blackheads and tone the epidermis. It takes about 60 minutes for a session and 4 to 6 sessions for the initial treatment, at 2-4 weeks, depending on the condition and sensitivity of the skin. Then, for extra maintenance, a microdermabrasion treatment per season is recommended.
To preserve your treatments it is recommended to continue your treatment at home with the products specifically recommended for your skin type.
